GREENMAX can mainly recycle polyurethane foam with two types of equipment: foam shredder and foam hydraulic compactor

Although they are among the least recyclable materials, polyurethane foams are the sixth most produced plastic in the world. Additionally, they are built to last, so they will last in the environment for several generations. Additionally to causing issues with human health, they add to the issue of plastic trash in the world's oceans, on land, and in the air. Almost every animal in the terrestrial ecology today has plastics. Additionally, because most plastics are comprised of petroleum-based materials, they are linked to the extraction of fossil fuels, which fuels climate change.

So is there a good enough way to recycle polyurethane foam? At present, the solution provided by GREENMAX is to use recycling equipment for recycling. The two types of equipment that can mainly recycle polyurethane foam are foam shredder and foam hydraulic compactor.

It should be noted that the polyurethane foam processed by the two different equipments is completely different in shape. The foam shredder mainly cuts the polyurethane foam into small pieces of uniform size, and mainly plays the role of crushing. The foam hydraulic compactor can not only break the foam into small pieces of uniform size, but also realize the use of hydraulic technology to compress polyurethane foam, squeeze out the air in these foams, and form dense blocs to facilitate transportation. The compression ratio of GREENMAX foam hydraulic compactor can reach 70:1.

One of GREENMAX's customers is engaged in the production of orthopedic devices in France, because the whole process requires special-shaped cutting, and a lot of waste polyurethane foam will be generated in this process. The person in charge said that he wanted a recycling equipment to crush these waste foams without compression, so we recommended the foam shredder recycling equipment. After constantly understanding the density of polyurethane foam, we chose the most suitable one for our customers. The broken knife fully breaks the foam. Foam hydraulic compactor, as a new type of recycling equipment, has been sold to three countries for use. Although there is no feedback on the use of polyurethane foam, the effect of compressing polyurethane foam is good during the test run of the equipment.
