HDPE bottles dewatering and Compacting

GreenMax and plastic recycling

HDPE bottles are widely used in daily life and the industrial field. They can contain various kinds of liquids like oil, shampoo, and cosmetics. When it comes to the problem of recycling, HDPE bottles meet a similar situation with PET bottles—how to get rid of the remained liquid and compacted the bottles into smaller sizes efficiently?

GreenMax provides EPS recycling machines for the purpose of improving the EPS recycling condition around the world and enlarging the waste EPS supply sources. Meanwhile, we also designed Poseidon Series machines to solve the problem mentioned above—to dewater and compact packaging and containers like HDPE bottles, PET bottles and so on.

About HDPE bottles

HDPE is a highly crystallized and non-polar thermoplastic resin. The original states of HDPE is in milky white appearance. HDPE is not hygroscopic and has good waste vapor permeability, so it can be used for packaging purposes. HDPE bottle is one of the most commonly seen plastic packaging forms.

Traditional way of HDPE bottle recycling

The problem of recycling HDPE bottles has bothered the related manufacturers, traders, and HDPE bottle recyclers for a long time. Products like shampoo, cosmetics, and detergents might get rejected during the process, and some of them may be date expired before sold out. All these HDPE bottles had better get recycled.

Similar to PET bottles, HDPE bottles are used to be dealt with in traditional ways. Labor power is the major force to do that tough work. HDPE bottles are harder than PET ones and the liquids in them are sticker than beverages like Cola. Therefore, traditional ways of dealing with HDPE bottles are indeed quite costive in time, money, and energy, and also bring no good effect.

Poseidon comes to help

Luckily we are in the century of high technology. Machines can help humans do labor tasks more efficiently. Poseidon of GreenMax is designed and manufactured with steady running capacity and enables continuous output of processed bottles.

With strong power comes from the screw, the liquids reminded in the bottles can be squeezed out and then collected by the tank equipped on the bottom of the machine. Instead of being released directly, they can be treated first to avoid pollution to the environment.

And the bottles would be compacted into smaller sizes. Volume of the material coming out from GreenMax Poseidon is about 10% of the original ones, which could save a lot of handling cost and storage and transportation space.

Current HDPE recycling situation

HDPE is one of the plastics that grows fastest in the recycling market because it is easy to be reprocessed and widely applied in the packaging area. The major reusing method is to mix the recycled HDPE (25%) with the new material and process them into bottle products, which of course are not used in food packaging.
