The Solution with the Theme of Styrofoam Recycling Has Obtained a Patent in the United States

Styrofoam packaging, also known as expanded polystyrene, is one of the most widely used plastics with the lowest recovery rate. Packaging waste is produced with door-to-door delivery from retailers. This Styrofoam packaging waste is too large to be placed in roadside containers, and most single-stream recycling facilities do not accept it. Styrofoam packaging has become a recycling problem by joining in a long string of other difficult to recycle materials that cannot be collected on the roadside.

Styrofoam packaging can be recycled when getting off at a recycling center equipped with a Styrofoam recycling system. Now there is a Styrofoam packaging recycling system designed for the outdoor municipal recycling center, which has recently obtained a practical patent from the U.S. patent and Trademark Office. The patent outlines a method and system for recycling Styrofoam waste.

The Styrofoam recycling system is designed as an encapsulated plug and play system for collecting, recycling, and reusing foam packaging waste, including food containers, furniture packaging, and so on. When the Styrofoam recycling system is now patented to handle foam packaging waste, 98% of the air is released safely, and 2% of the polystyrene plastics are extruded to achieve the densification of 50:1. This system, also known as the Styrofoam compactor, is very popular in the field of recycling.

After being recycled by the Styrofoam compactor, the dense Styrofoam called blocks has very high resale value and is used as raw materials in many emerging industries, especially in the framing industry. Many of the finished frames and strips can be recycled again to form a closed-loop recycling system.

With the application of this patent, the Styrofoam compactor will be further promoted. In addition to relatively clean packaging, the Styrofoam compactor can also handle food containers. GREENMAX has designed a cleaning system for the treatment of meal boxes, which can efficiently clean, crush and compress Styrofoam containers with outstanding results.

For the recycling industry, I believe that with the further promotion of the Styrofoam compactor, the Styrofoam recycling industry will make great progress.
