Ireland's Galway Institute of Oceanography can utilize EPS compactors to recycle waste EPS boxes

EPS recycling technology is becoming more and more mature, which is good news. Thanks to the development of recycling technology, more and more fields have begun to carry out EPS recycling, and even many industries that you can't imagine are carrying out EPS recycling. These industries are usually not directly engaged in EPS production and cutting industries, but some related industries, such as a laboratory in Ireland is engaged in EPS recycling. Marine Institute in Galway cuts EPS waste by 95 per cent. This is a major breakthrough in this field, and waste EPS boxes or trays produced during the experiment can also be recycled.

Scientists were able to minimize the amount of garbage transported to landfill or incineration at the national facility located in Maree outside of Oranmore by an amazing 95%, going from 4,000 kg to 130 kg. This transformation could establish a new standard for other labs. Single-use plastics were reduced by 69%. The agency is responsible for the national surveillance programme for shellfish toxins in Ireland. The facility receives more than 3,000 samples per year, and the EPS boxes that ship the shellfish are recycled, compressed and reused by a local recycling company. As cool as it sounds, this recycling project really sets an example for all labs.

For shellfish without toxins, we usually use landfill for disposal, because this is a very good nutrient for the soil, but we can't do this for EPS, because EPS is a non-degradable substance, it is not allowed landfill. Now countries in Europe are raising landfill taxes to prevent people from filling EPS foam and prompting everyone to recycle. EPS compactor is a good EPS volume reduction tool. The machine can squeeze out 95% of the air in waste EPS for a very satisfying compression.

At the same time, EPS ompactor adopts cold pressing technology, which is suitable for EPS boxes for transporting marine organisms, because the EPS waste generated in this field has a high water content, GREENMAX does not recommend using EPS densifier, although the compression ratio of this machine is higher. GREENMAX is currently cooperating with a lot of fishing companies in Europe. They all choose the GREENMAX EPS compactor marine series for recycling, and the use effect is very good. At the same time, GREENMAX has recently upgraded this series of machines.

GREENMAX not only provides EPS compactor, but also repurchases waste EPS for remanufacturing. If you are interested in GREENMAX, please feel free to contact us.
