EPE compactor Zeus series recycling leftovers in the cutting industry in Estonia

According to the latest market research report in 2023, the market size of EPE foam will continue to grow, valued at $3.0344 billion in 2022, and is expected to reach an adjusted size of $3.844 billion by 2028, with a CAGR of 4.0%. Due to the vigorous development of online retail and e-commerce, goods have been traded across regions and even across borders, so the use and demand of EPE in this economic field is increasing.

EPE foam helps keep cargo safe from impact by absorbing shocks during transportation. When EPE foam is used as product packaging, special sizes and shapes are required to better fulfill the mission. Because of this, EPE leftovers are constantly produced in large quantities in the foam cutting industry.

In order to provide precise protection for different goods, the foam cutting industry needs to carry out packaging and cutting according to the general shape of the goods, and even some expensive goods require more rigorous special-shaped cutting, and these leftovers become useless garbage, they are usually collected, and along with ordinary household garbage are permanently buried in the ground, although this kind of foam cannot be degraded, but for various reasons, people still choose to do so. The advent of EPE compactor has completely reversed the situation of this vicious circle, and the recycling of EPE foam has become a reality!

One of GREENMAX's partners in Estonia is using EPE compactor for recycling. Due to the particularity of the material, the conventional foam compactor is not used in the recycling work, but the EPE foam compactor Zeus series that is good at recycling is used. The partner has factories in Estonia and Sweden. Because the local policy requires at least 30% waste EPE to be recycled, the customer is eager to carry out the EPE recycling project. The main appeal of the customer is a high compression ratio, at least there will be no loose and chipping of the material after compression.

At the beginning, we focused on the EPE densifier, but this did not meet another requirement of the customer: energy saving. Finally, after comprehensive consideration. GREENMAX recommends the use of EPE compactor Zeus series. This equipment mainly uses cold pressing technology to crush and compress EPE, then heat and melt the compacted blocs surface, and form a binding seal after cooling to ensure that the material will not loosen. Compared with the densifier that completely adopts hot-melt technology, this device consumes less energy, has stronger compression capacity, and the compression ratio can reach 50:1, meeting all demands of customers.
