Cooperation Between Airpol and GREENMAX: Promote the EPS Recycling and Circular Economy in Italy

If you pay attention to the recycling industry, you must find that the EPS recycling pattern in Europe has changed greatly this year. Since January 2021, the EU has promulgated a policy to restrict the export of plastic waste and scraps to non-OECD countries. This has led to great changes in the recycling of waste plastics in the world.

Under the influence of this policy, European countries need to start recycling their plastic waste at home. In addition, at the same time, the plastic tax policy about the recycling of waste plastics is promoting the recycling of post-use EPS. The development of EPS recycling also stimulates the demand growth of recycling machines such as the EPS compactor. Many visionary European companies started EPS recycling projects many years ago, and Airpol Italia is one of them.

At the ECOMONDO Exhibition held in 2014, Airpol reached cooperation with GREENMAX on-site and purchased an EPS compactor A-C200, which successfully helps start its EPS recycling business. EPS compactor plays a great role in the recycling industry chain of Airpol. This equipment compresses the agricultural boxes sold to local customers in a ratio of 50:1, helps customers reduce the volume of agricultural boxes, and greatly saves waste treatment costs.

The successful application of the GREENMAX EPS compactor has also prompted Airpol to continuously expand its EPS recycling business. In 2021, It recycled more than 1000 tons of EPS, covering agricultural boxes, daily packaging, and EPS in other industries. Under the positive effect of the recycling closed-loop of GREENMAX(EPS-blocks-particles-frames), Airpol also began to develop EPS granulation business. It purchases EPS blocks treated by the EPS compactor in Italy, for the manufacture of plastic particles.

The story between GREENMAX and Airpol continues. We have reached a strategic cooperation in November this year. We plan to provide one-stop EPS recycling services for local enterprises with EPS recycling requirements. GREENMAX is responsible for providing customers with the EPS compactor to help customers save storage space and get rid of landfill and incineration costs, which helps enterprises establish a great reputation for being eco-friendly.

Airpol repurchases EPS blocks densified by GREENMAX machine in Italy and converts them into secondary raw materials to develop a circular economy. This not only makes EPS recycling easier in Italy but also allows local companies to obtain better EPS recycling services.

This cooperation has provided great help to EPS recycling and the circular economy in Italy, which has a far-reaching positive impact. It is believed that in the future, Italy's EPS recycling industry will make more great breakthroughs with the joint efforts of all people.
