Polystyrene recycling machine can serve as a strong support for new recycling methods

Expanded polystyrene is a commonly used plastic used as exterior wall insulation (and in some cases, as acoustic insulation). So is it possible to recycle it and reuse it in other construction processes? The answer is correct, EPS can be shredded and tamped to make new plastic materials. However, it can also be recycled and recycled in the form of paint for use in construction and urban planning projects. The EPS-based coatings were developed by Idea-Tec, a company founded in 2014 by two Chilean chemists who wanted to explore technologies for processing hard-to-break waste. After three years of research, they came up with a solution, which was to use EPS to make paint, which consumes 3.3 to 5.5kg of EPS waste per can of paint. Replacing virgin raw materials with waste reduces the CO2 produced by manufacturing each can of paint, and this research received LEED certification, representing its contribution to reducing CO2.

This recycling method is a relatively new recycling method, and this innovative way has been encouraged, but what we pursue is the ultimate recycling method that can be large-scale, efficient and low-cost. In order to achieve this goal, GREENMAX has been designing and developing different types of recycling equipment for the recycling of expanded polystyrene for more than ten years. INITIALLY, GREENMAX WAS BUYING EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE SCRAP GLOBALLY, AND IN THE PROCESS, SOME PEOPLE WERE RELUCTANT TO SELL IT AND WOULD RATHER GO TO LANDFILL, EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD A LOT OF WASTE. Under GREENMAX's questioning, we learned that because the expanded polystyrene is too large in the uncompressed state, there is no way to recycle, the transportation cost is too expensive, and the price of selling waste is far from deducting the price of transportation.

GREENMAX polystyrene recycling machine is designed in many fields, the common ones are polystyrene production plants, cutting plants, seafood processing plants, medical industry, recycling stations, agriculture, etc. Different kinds of polystyrene recycling machine have different compression ratios, which are 50:1, 70:1 and 90:1, of course, the higher the compression ratio, the better, you need to choose the most suitable equipment according to your actual situation.
