Flexible foam plastic is the basic component and a polymeric material containing a large amount of bubbles, and therefore can be regarded as a gas as filler composite plastic. Compared with pure plastic, this material has many excellent properties, such as light weight and high strength, which can absorb impact load, good thermal and acoustic insulation properties. Thus, it has been widely used in industry, agriculture, construction, transportation and other fields.
Plastic foam can be divided into soft, hard and semi-rigid foam. Rigid foam insulation can be made into insulation materials, pipes and containers of insulation materials, floating materials and shock-absorbing packaging materials. Flexible foam can be used as foam artificial leather. The commonly used materials include polyurethane foam, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, phenolic foam and the alike.
